H. Darrell Young, Chief Executive Officer, has spent most of his 35+ year’s career in healthcare information systems (HIS). Mr. Young was the President & CEO of two publicly traded HIS companies. In 2000, Mr. Young founded Transformance Concepts, an investment company where his primary focus was on acquisitions, due diligence, fundraising and strategic planning for HIS companies. In addition, Mr. Young co-authored a book on leadership development entitled, “Leadership Under Construction”, which was published in 2004. He serves as a Director to numerous companies in both healthcare and non-healthcare markets. Mr. Young participated in the development of the University of Georgia’s (UGA) Terry College Institute for Leadership Advancement and is a frequent guest lecturer on the UGA campus. Mr. Young’s diverse business background, which includes sales, operations, research and development, coupled with his proven leadership and experience in the healthcare market positions him well to lead the company.

Stephen Shea, CFO, has been senior vice president of finance of Mestek Inc. since 1994, and CFO since 1990. He previously served as controller from 1987 to 1990, and manager of corporate development prior to that. Before joining Mestek in 1985, Shea was a Certified Public Accountant with the Hartford, Conn., accounting firm of Spitz, Sullivan, Wachtel & Falcetta for six years. Shea has consulted with CareCentric for many years on financial matters, including serving as its CFO for a period of time when the company was publicly traded.

Ralph Capasso , Senior Vice President of Sales, Marketing & Business Services, has spent most of his 24-year career in healthcare-related information management companies. Capasso was one of the first graduates of the EDS operations development and systems engineering schools. Previously head of customer service operations, he now directs the company’s sales and marketing efforts, as well as overseeing its billing and business process outsourcing services units. Before joining CareCentric, he was Vice President of Inside Sales at Eclipsys Corporation, and served in various management roles at Simborg Systems and McKesson (HBOC). His experience ranges from sales and professional services leadership to operations, programming and implementation management. Capasso’s proven leadership style, quality initiatives and extensive healthcare and information management experience play an important role in improving operational processes and customer satisfaction.

David Dasinger, Senior Vice President of Software Development, has been an executive in the healthcare industry for more than 27 years, primarily in software architecture and development. Prior to joining CareCentric, Dasinger led the development of the DocQment enterprise platform and its supporting applications for MedQuist, a national leader in the medical transcription industry. Before that, he worked for Transcend Services, where he developed its Internet-based coding and transcription platforms. His previous experience includes managing software development at McKesson (HBOC). Dasinger’s exceptional ability to lead teams in developing and implementing healthcare software technology provides a rich background for leading the development of CareCentric’s software products.

Gene Weiland, Vice President of Information Technology, with over 22 years of diverse Information Technology experience, Weiland has provided solid leadership, direction, and technical guidance. He has a diverse understanding in all areas of Information Technology, including application development, systems engineering, network engineering, and infrastructure architecture. Weiland has spent the last eight years leading CareCentric’s Information Technology organization. Prior to joining CareCentric, he spent 14 years with MetLife where he held various positions including Systems Consultant, Network Manager, and Director of Operations. Weiland holds a Bachelors of Business Administration in Computer Information Systems with a minor in Finance from Mercer University’s Eugene W. Stetson School of Business and Economics.
