CareCentric Premiers Ac-Cura

Total Home Care Management Solution at 2004 Customer Conference

CareCentric introduces revolutionary .NET home care management solution with fully integrated suite of product, support, education and purchasing alternatives unlike any other in the home care industry today.

Atlanta, GA (August 6, 2004) CareCentric, Inc., a leading provider of management information systems to the home health care community, premiered their new “Total Home Care Management Solution”, Ac-Cura, to hundreds of attendees at the CareCentric Customer Conference in Palm Beach, FL on July 19th. Utilizing  Microsoftâ.Net technology, the most open, Internet friendly platform available in the world today, the Ac-Cura solution offers unlimited growth and scalability. Its unique total solution concept incorporates a variety of integrated solutions based on the organization’s size, line of business, level of technology, capital budget, and vision for growth. The Home Health Care module is currently in beta testing at two customer locations.  This one of a kind system is scheduled for general release on September 1, 2004.

“Ac-Cura is something totally different”, said John Festa, CEO and President of CareCentric, “and we are extremely excited! Not only is the Ac-Cura solution built on a platform that enables unlimited flexibility and high-speed performance for all size operations but it also includes state-of-the-art technology for support, education, training and reporting that is truly unique, customer-focused and empowering.” Festa added, “CareCentric’s various hosting and pricing options take away the need for expensive up-front capital investments and the costs and responsibilities of system maintenance and security. Our system leaves the choice up to the organization.  This can mean a huge savings to many agencies and the opportunity for any agency to run a full-featured world class solution regardless of size.”

“CareCentric has completely rewritten the ways in which a home care agency can approach the management of their business.” stated Merry Beth Rucker, CEO VNA of Middlesex-East. “With Ac-Cura, we opted to outsource the management of our information system allowing my staff to focus on their primary job, the care of our patients.  We now enjoy many new benefits including a disaster recovery plan, automatic client and server upgrades, nightly back up copies of our database and more. We also will be able to direct our available capital resources to other areas as the need for costly server and infrastructure replacement as been eliminated.” Rucker added, “CareCentric has taken this concept several steps further by including online education and support as well as a blended training approach to provide more than just a new software application. We are thrilled to be the first to test CareCentric’s exciting new solution.”

Designed under a single platform, Ac-Cura is capable of managing the financial and clinical aspects of both single or multiple lines of business, including home health care, hospice, home medical equipment, and intravenous. Completely integrated single patient and provider data entry means information is instantly available throughout the system – no need for duplicate entry. System features make processing claims fast and accurate; a number one priority made possible with built-in payer authorizations, automated claim holds, missing data checks and a very unique ‘Smart NavigationÔ’ feature.

By utilizing Ac-Cura, providers can choose to operate as a traditional, in-house managed system or as a CareCentric hosted system that enables any size access to a full-featured, world class management system at an affordable cost through innovative pricing options. These options are designed to meet every agency’s needs.  Purchasing methods include traditional payment options, monthly payments with no up-front capital, and the ability to pay on a per patient basis, to name a few.
